accidentally use the wrong embrochure on my oboe and bit too hard on my lips cos the reed decided to turn itself into a stone and become rock hard. so yep. i have lips that are really red and chunky like angelina jolie's. woopie doo D:

| music lesson time got changed from 1030 to 1.
took me a great deal of effort to get my lazy butt out of bed and the comfort of my smelly blankys to get on the piano and do some serious work before i headed off to bishan for lesson. then i changed really quickly after that. only to pick up phone and read a silly msg saying, lesson changed to 1pm. altered my plans alittle, i was intending to go down to esplanade library in the afternoon... maybe i shd go to orchard instead. oh wells. lalala.
shall head off now, going to superdog to do my theory hw, somehow, i can derive no motivation from studying or doing any form of mental exercise at home. home is for the dead. the brain dead.

tomorrow i have a music lesson at 1030 in the morning, at bishan.
havent practised at all. shall get started on my theory hw first and leave the whole morning to practising.
feel like heading down to town, to the esplanade library. clear my fines and hopefully borrow some nice solo pieces to play for fun.
my corr reed is breaking down... way too easy, dont like easy reeds. the new one i drew is way to hard, its a rock now. cant play on it any longer. sigh, shall get my idol to shave it down.
the new oboe reed is a blast! love it.
hmm, brisbane is next week, have about the last 3 days of band camp to get use to switching from corr to oboe and back. havent done that within pieces before. hmm shall be interesting. hope i dont screw up.
i think i shall spend some time studying at esplanade tomorrow. maybe start on my chem revision. really need to push up that grade.
day one of band camp today. the lecture in the morning was interesting. helped me gage my dynamics more. looking forward to day 2, 3 and 4 <3
haha. oboes and bassoons are first up for ensemble perfs. yupyupp. gd luck my dear jrs. hee.
this is going to be FUN :D:D

| forgot certain things, got carried away worrying about problems that dont belong to me.
it is the holidays, finally. though it doesnt feel as if i finally got a break.
got back my report book today.
kinda expected the grades, knew them before hand already.
here they are:

so thats about it.
same as the end of last year. some subjs improved, some dropped.
in the end it kinda balanced out.
elective week also comes to an end this school term,
quite happy today, we did chromatography of the eye pigments of the flies.
i couldnt quite tell the diff between the brown and red eyed flies without the magnifying glass.
ended up smashing the heads of flies which were both red. ahha, so my chromatography ended up with the same results for both, the brown wasnt suppose to seperate. i was complaining the whole time how my chromatography took soooper long. but the results were really good. the solvent pulled the components out slowly so all were seperated nicely. the colours couldnt be seen in regular light since they were light sensitive pigments. under UV light, they glowed a nice rainbow. really pretty. hope i get the pics from xiuhan my lab partner. didnt bring camera again D: haha. my red pigment seperated out really nicely so the teacher took a picture of it :D ego booster. im a model student. for once. so please, allow me to bask in the glory of being one.

| just a tad flustered today, having some stuff thrown on me.
nevermind, just hope it will work out alright.
why am i worrying. it isnt even my duty to do so.
finally, a band rehearsal.
feel abit distant from my instru and pieces today, having not played for more than a week.
level camp and all that.
went through saga. that was fine but i cant help thinking i played abit soft today. reed sort of dried up.
then went through poema at the end of rehearsal. different conductor so the tempo at certain places changed pretty drastically.
my reed is too easy, cant control and sharpen anymore D: lucky i drew a new reed today, but its alittle hard for me. i think i came in early like 2 bars got confused with the beating. always confused there. RAA. hope i get cued in in future.
poema felt unfamiliar today... never touch on it for too long. hence the uncertainty.
need to find some time to practise before brisbane. oh well. band camp is coming.

| its elective week.
no formal lessons :D
early releases, my day ends at ONE! havent had that since kindergarten.
basically just courses on interesting stuff. took up the one on drosophillia aka fruitflies.
yep. havent got a chance to take photos of all the cute buggies... have to bring a camera to class one of these days.
anyway, decided to take the flies out of the lab today.
brought it to bandroom.
i have 3 flies in my vile. no wait, i had 3 flies in my vile.
one male named marty and 2 females, one named holly (lionel named it to rhyme with molly -.-) and one which is nameless at this point in time. it woke up from the dead, i thought i had killed it by over drugging it with the diethyl ether, but the poor thing woke up eventually. was freaking all the band woosies out. i think the flies are pretty cool. anyways, was trying to adjust the cotton wool so that marty and holly and the nameless bugger would have room to fly around. accidentally squished one. tried to relieve the pain and hopefully save the poor fly by pulling the cotton wool gently until it was released. some force spurt came and the wool got lose. the ungrateful bugger flew away before i could cap the vile with my hand. woohoo. thanks a mill.
turned out to be damn marty, so the threesome was broken cos marty flew away. leaving holly with the nameless bugger. should have named you wilson. marty was such a cute name. so now i have two flies. thank god they had sex last night and laid a couple of eggs which are growing into cute white squiggly larva if not i wouldnt have anymore flies left.
so class is fun. getting my corr back tomorrow!
yay, finally. no more stressing over openhouse and friday's rehearsal.

| feel really weird to be at home at this hour.
on normal regular tuesdays, my classes would end around 315 and then i would pop by bandroom to prac for awhile or to study.
then i would be home around 6-7.
well, this weirdness wouldnt have happened if i got my corr back today. or if the screw was replaced by today.
clearly, it wasnt. so yep, im home now, sulking over the absence of my cor anglais. damn.
how long does it take for a damn screw to be replaced.
the lady told me one week is enough. well i went on camp and i sent it on the thurs before that week. so that is MORE than one week.
called the shop up today to ask when i could pick it up since openhouse was going to be this sat, and i need my corr. rehearsal is on friday. technically i need it by tomorrow the latest so that i can prac rather heading to full band UNPREPARED. damn, they still said where got so fast?! WHATTHEHELL. i know the screw needs to be ordered from france if they didnt have stock but wth, at least tell me so i can bring it down some other time. raa and wtf. repaired or not im going to ask for my corr back. anyway, my instru is still playable with the missing screw. RAAAAAAAAAAAA. pissed off and sulking now. i want my corr back i want my corr back. this sucks. 2 more weeks to brisbane, one week or band camp before that. how can i NOT have my corr now. its urgent.

woopie, another late night after severe sleep deprivation from camp.
yesterday, managed to drop by vivo city after GP tuition to join in the great spore sale, before heading out to maths tuition which was a couple of hours later.
went to river isalnd! woohoo, like the stuff there.
got myself a nice hoodie with really funky pattern and a new pair of jeans, elephant grey, i dont know what other grey to call it, this was the first thing that popped up in my mind when my sis said it was white. which it obviously wasnt. its just really pale grey. even if you use elephants, there are the asian elephants which are darker, or you have the nice african ones which are lighter, so that makes my jeans african elephant pale grey. yep. nice, but its wierd cos the pockets go down to mid thigh at the back. they have nice metal studs which sparkle in the sun, but the pockets are already big and they are put lower cos of some cloth design at the top. so its meant to be low. coupled with my short stumpy legs, they go down to mid thigh. sigh, its still nice and i love it. the material is so nice, the moment i slipped it on, i was like, mommy has to get me this! the price was great too, about fifty buckies off the orignal. the hoodie is so nice too, really unique with balloon sleeves :D and a fluorescent yellow inner lining for the hoodie.
went out today to raffles city, dont really like that place.
its so not lively. it was like dejavoo since vivo pretty much houses all the shops i go to, and raffles is just another mall with the same shops. walked quite abit. went down to wisma, shared a caramel frap with my sis and cousin shing :D nice for the menancing heat of the sun D:
erm then went to cathay later, surprisingly mise was open at like FIVE THIRTY!!!
woohoo, i thought they would be closed since it was a public holiday, then they were open, my sis got herself an ohno uchiwa. that put a giant smirk or smile whatever you call it, across her face :D
while shopping, heard the song beautiful girl by sean kingston many times.
just brought back so many lovely memories of the camp :D:D
now, my legs are aching from all the walking. im down with a cold. runny nose, constricted air passage. raa, hope it gets well soon.
in about 2 more weeks, i'll be off with the band<3 to brisbane where its winter. great way to escape the heat here. yep looking forward to that trip!
